Abstract: |
Increasing usage of online government services on the global level shows that
the public considers internet to be more and more appropriate for involvement in government activities on both national
and local levels. Portion of Czech citizens who use internet for access to the government services or products remains
in last two years unchanged. Compared with other post-communist countries, the CR is on quite good position but the
dynamics of this process is very slow and could lead to be backward. Compared with other countries in the world, the CR
belongs to less developed ones. Feeling of safety in using internet for contacts with government does not change in the
CR, in contrast with the global trend of improving perceptions of safety. Increasing possibilities of online
communication with the government and reinforcing of the safety is a great challenge for our public administration and
for the politicians, too.
