The report explore the role of the public libraries as public accesspoints to e-government resources. In the context of the Global InformationSociety, facing the problems of digital divide, e-exclusion, lack ofinformation literacy skills, etc., the role of the library is more important.
The access to information is the main humanright as it was written in TheUniversal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948 – ( Article19) and then in other acts all over the world: “Everyonehas the right to freedom of …, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.” The specific type of governmental informationand resources as well as e-services, outlined the library and information specialists as providers of E-government Information.
