Abstract
Resumption of 2011 conference paper Library Has(Not) to be Canceled – (Un)Common Problems of (Un)Usual Library after two years. Surveying Library has embraced its chance to survive at the time when readers do not use their legs but mainly their fingers on the keyboard to reach documents they need. In addition location of Surveying Library in small city Zdiby outside of Prague can lure more travelers than students or researchers who should be main users of library. Information technology, open source software and the common availability of the internet allowed that the library can provide their services remotely and at a higher quality standards than previously. In the past fragmented information sources (library, the digital library Kramerius catalog, electronic resources, archives, documents on the Web) without any connection or links are provided from one common location and are part of one system of institutional digital repository today. It is managed through the implementation of open source software Invenio, whose functions will be presented on the example of implementation in our Surveying Library.
