Ikaros (an electronic journal about the information society) started as a student activity at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship (Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague) in early 1997. The first issue was published on 14th April 1997. Since November 2000 Ikaros has been published by Ikaros, o.s.
