Abstract
In its new version, Manuscriptorium offers modern tools for creation of own user content. User can save thematic collections of documents as well as create virtual digital documents. Those can consist of content aggregated within the Manuscriptorium, but there is also a new possibility to add own external content. What is it good for? These functions enable the creation of new, unique information. Let’s imagine a virtual document, in which pages of real documents are collected, and additional images are added by user (for example pictures representing related places or persons). User can also connect his or her own structured text or additional notes and share the whole result with the others in the Manuscriptorium, or through social networks. The work can also be saved in PDF format, or printed. Great potential of these functions can be used in professional research as well as in common utilization. What can we imagine, to be done with these new possibilities and how is it all functioning? This shall be demonstrated on three practical model cases in the presentation.
