Abstract
The paper deals with the analysis of Czech library periodicals defines these journals, it outlines their history, and discusses thematic areas in these journals. It also describes the current state, their place and role in the field of library and information science. Based on the survey results acquainted with editorial work, peer-review process and its pitfalls. In conclusion concerns the problem of setting the rules for excerpts in the international indexing systems.
