RSC Gold for Gold - our contribution to Open Access

Abstract
We recognize that researchers are often being asked to publish Open Access (OA), but do not have the funding to pay for it directly.
To support the funder-led evolution to Gold OA, and following a successful pilot scheme in the UK, our Gold for Gold initiative rewards all institutions that subscribe to RSC Gold with voucher codes to make papers available via OA, free of charge.
The presentation will give an overview of the successful business case presented to the German Research Foundation (DFG). Within this project over 200 German research Institutions upgraded to RSC Gold for 2014–2016 and therefore will receive over 900 open access vouchers per year. Within the presentation we give you some background details of this successful pilot and how RSC Gold is effecting the Czech research environment.
