Digitization of Information Fund and Processing Professional Information as a Basis for the Creating Pulp and Paper Thesaurus

Abstract
Paper industry and the overall wood processing industry in this area has a long-time tradition and its development is closely linked to the social and cultural transformations in the regions. Preservation and disclosure of the large amount of written and information material from past time is one of the important activities to preservation industrial heritage Slovak and Czech experts. The entire volume of scanned materials consists of texts from journals, books, conference materials, etc. is one of the important materials for work associated with the formation Thesaurus – controlled vocabulary of technical terms . The result of the project Slovak Agency for Research and Development – APVV 0757 –12 is the complex material – thesaurus – in the field of pulp and paper industry. The main objective of the project is to unify technical terminology and create the base methodological material for the searching, studies evaluating the level of science and technology for the solved tasks as well as upcoming research tasks and projects. With the use of all available resources, specialized technical library VÚPC reaches a higher quality level of professional information requested within the deadlines and with easy access to the primary source.
Author's professional CV
The author, Ing . Alena Zuzánková , after graduating from the Slovak Technical University specializing in wood processing , pulp and paper production, Bratislava, during the entire professional life working in the Pulp and Paper Research Institute in the same field . After several research years in the field of production and processing paper and paperboard, she subsequently reoriented to the area of provision of professional and economic information for using in solved projects . Provides retrievals as a materials for the research tasks, studies and projects and simultaneously cooperates in the preparatory work for scheduled tasks and projects. Lately she was as responsible researcher of several projects related to provision of professional information for research and business sector. As a co-worker took part in solving several research projects , study work and projects . Now solves the project connected with creating the thesaurus as a material for unify pulp and paper terminology.
