Abstract
The Ministry of Interior perceives opendata as one of the pillars of eGovernment. The so-called "open data governance " are conceived as mechanisms of publication of machine-readable data with clear publicly disclosed data models to such data were for certain defined circumstances usable by anyone. Humanly speaking , such data may be used both for the needs of public services and citizens' needs and the needs of commercial and nonprofit use and even over such data commercial products and services can be created. So it is not just the so-called anti-corruption data , as well as production data in various useful applications and services to citizens, such as geographic data , environmental information , schedules , traffic information , etc. , or as results of inspections , etc. Gradually we will move to the principle of "all- public " , the general rule is that data, where it makes sense and which are not subject to any principle of protection, are public and by their nature those are open data. Let's take a look together , what is the history of open data in Czech Republic , what are the biggest problems in the area and what direction the Czech Republic and public administration is going to head in the coming years.
