Abstract

One of the primary tasks of an information worker is to provide full texts of the scholarly documents and mine, collect, update, and test (for credibility) the data and information from appropriate databases. Mining up the records of documents, technical possibilities of information environment, and the type and form of publication give him the chance to fill this mission. He should have enough resources for finding the optimal way. Apart from the paid sources, he can use free sources, use the search machines, simplify the mining and acquiring of documents and information with the help of aggregators and other information services. Based on the experience acquired with providing information in the pharmaceutical and health sectors, it is possible to demonstrate many alternatives of data mining and dissemination and compare its efficiency . However, he, together with the end user, must always remember that the information are the "product" which contains not only the costs of acquiring and publication of results, but also the costs of data-mining, updating and verification the data and information (i.e. the results) credibility.
