The report deals with problems in public reporting of health care quality in relationship to Czech and foreign legislation. On the model of last events in public reporting of important nosocomial infections by way of masmediums it tries to point out the disagreement in legislative, ethic and economic aspects of providing information to general public. The aim of this contribution is to focus the patients and health care professionals attention on the inconsistency of the contemporary legislation, wich doesn't ensure the fulfillment of patient’s right to obtaining the complete, truthful and transparent information on health care quality and so makes impossible the free choice of health care facility.
The graduate of Lomonosov State University. Since 1978 has worked in public health. Since 1992 has been engaging in scientific information in public health.
