Abstract

WVC :: ONE is lecture webcasting system which was developed and is opened now in the department of informatics in the University South of Bohemia in Pedagogic faculty. System allows create and service webcasting materials, which are found in streaming media, i.e. video and audio. The media are online synchronizated with other information, which can constitute a text, images, flash movie, etc. This tools are accessibley by internet form all places and allow to create educational materials, presentations, conferences together with next attendant multimedial components. During the year 2002 was developed and tested prototype system. The next step was new version, which allows global service and distribution. Now is proceeding work of courses by the system. The system brought positive change during year 2003 in the begining of the year 2004 the system was became a part of learning support in University South of Bohemia.

About the author

The Author finished studies of physic and computer technique at University South of Bohemia. At present time he works as a lecture at the same University. At the same time He is a student of doctoral studies at the Charle's university, the Department of information technology PedF (subject dissertation work: Effectiveness of webcasting systems).He works with produces the firm MACROMEDIA (FLASH, DIRECTOR, AUTHORWARE) and their integrating to the education. He cooperates with specialists the firm MACROMEDIA in USA.
