Abstract: |
This work reviews long-term experience with literature search programs
SilverPlatter (Spirs, WinSpirs, WebSpirs) and OVID and their pros and cons for searching through biomedical bases.
Alongside with features of the most optimal searching of works for given theme, other features for the end user are
evaluated - user interface, help, view and print formats, options for saving records and history, for use of Library
Holdings Message, full text views, creation and sending SDI profiles, duplicite removal etc. This article closes
with suggestions for implementing functions which have not yet been implemented and could lead to faster and more
qualite work with the system. |
