Abstract
In my contribution I would like to dedicate Czech terminological database of library and information science (TDKIV). This is one of the databases of the National Library of the Czech Republic and the unique Czech online terminological explanatory dictionary in the field of library and information science. The database was created in 2001–2002 under the project of the National Library, which was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. In 2003 it won the INFORUM 2003. It is administered by the Library Institute of the National Library. Currently it contains nearly 3,200 processed headwords (ie. almost 4900 terms including equivalents), representing all areas of library and information science and related disciplines. I am responsible for database management, and at the same time deal with terminographical work (processing new headwords and update the old headwords). During my lecture, I would like first to introduce the database – its content, thematic classification, terminographical work connected with the database TDKIV and types of searches in the database. Then I want to focus on innovations within the database (including a new website), which I put into practice as the database administrator. Some updates were made to users' requests. I would mention also to promote TDKIV, which is partly related to established news.

Bc. Jaroslava Havlová, DiS. has worked in the Library Institute of the National Library of the Czech Republic since 2008. She is responsible for cataloging, respectively analytical description of library of magazines and web documents. She is also the administrator of the Czech terminology database of library and information science (TDKIV) and one of the administrators of mailing list Terminology. In addition to database management and mailing list she deals with terminological and terminographical work in the field of library and information science, creates the new headwords to the database and updates the old headwords, if needed, she answers users' questions on the library terminology and promotes TDKIV database. In 2012 she lectured at the seminar „Czech databases (not only in libraries)“ in Hradec Králové.
