Abstract
In the past year there have been several new purchases of Czech e-books in libraries on platforms eReading.cz, Flexibooks, Levna Library, Proquest ebrary, EBSCO eBooks. New legislation in the autumn of 2014 brings new opportunities for libraries in an area of access to digitized publications on site and access to digitized orphan works. In the lecture there will be presented an overview of the current Czech e-books for libraries market, experiences in Charles University in Prague with an accessibility on site of digitized publications, current trends in e-readers area, unified logging, on-line registrations and online payments in Czech libraries.
Author's professional CV
Jiri Pavlik was graduated at Czech Technical University in 2000 and received a degree in Computer Science. Since 1995 Jiří Pavlík is working at Charles University in Prague. Till 2014 he worked at Computer Centre as a system engineer managing library systems, federated authentication, fulltext technology solutions and multimedia systems. Since 2015 he is working at the University Central Library. Since January 2006 he is also a member of CESNET Shibboleth working group and Czech academic identity federation eduID.cz administrator.
