Abstract
The introduction of new lecture series for postgraduate students and young scientists, which takes place at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. Under the motto „Pass your information literacy“ by the way of workshops and seminars, we invite young scientist into more detailed nooks of electronical information resources. We teach them special skills with resources – both classical and less used – for example patent databases. We don’t pass over advanced work with citations and scientometric indicators and last but not least we reveal them specific of use of author law in academic milieu. The top of this series will be classical academic disputation like in the Middle Ages, but on a purely modern theme as the issue Open Acces is. The series takes place in informal setting of the study hall of the library of chemistry, which gives them a feeling of friendship and informal atmosphere. There is enough space for all questions of the listeners. There is a pair of alive Agamas Beard who supervise the seminars, becaouse what else can make the library coaier at the Faculty of Science than live animal. The aim of the series is to help to the starting scientist to be able to orient themselves in their new role of scientist and educators and to widen their information literacy. Thanks to the new obtained skills their work become to be of a higher quality and more efficient.
