Abstract
Information behavior of young publishing scientists is influenced by the research evaluation principles. They are compelled to produce number of evaluable results. Under this stress they form their own ethical principles of scientific work and of their future career. Quantities of information in the online environment and economic context of publishing activities requires a method of evaluation of research results, because it facilitates differences between high quality publications, renowned authors, research teams, and credible publishers on one side, and predatory subjects on the other. However, fully objective evaluating system for all research disciplines and types of institutions is impossible to invent.
Specificity of young scientists is the fact that they learn to cope with the scientific publishing. It is thus very important to provide them all possible support so that they do not feel compelled to publish only for the fact that they publish. How does the publishing strategy of young researchers appear from the standpoint of university scientific journal editors? We wish to present the successful synergy of particular activities at the CTU, where the editorial office of two university scientific periodicals is part of the university library. Journal editors could be a significant support to the authors with the aim to help young scientists and their supervisors, so that young scientists succeed in the international context. The criterion for the effectiveness of our efforts is our university reviewed scientific journal as a platform for quality publications in a context of open international scientific cooperation.
