Abstract
From the very beginning of the new century the information communications and access to professional information undergo extensive changes. The new systems of electronic publishing and new forms of information transfer in Internet cause questions about new possibilities of access to information. The paper will be concerned with actuall questions of open access to professional information. On the basis of the retrieval a real information we try compare traditional (subscription) with new models of access to professional information, from view of library information specialist and lecturer. Main emphasis will be put on understanding between connections in open access and retrieval of professional information. We will search new ways to future, from quantity to quality.
About the author
Mgr. Jindra Planková - 1994-1997 bachelor's programme in "Information studies and Librarianship" at Silesian university in Opava; 1997-2000 master's programme "Librarianship and Information Science" at Charles University in Prague. From 2003- started course in research in "Information science" at Charles University in Prague. From 1994-1997 Library assistant in Central Library of Silesian University in Opava, from 1997-2002 reference librarian - information specialist (manager ILL, LL DDS) in Central Library, 2002 lecturer at the Department of Librarianship, from 2003 lecturer at the Department of Informatics at Silesian University in Opava.
