Abstract
Mutual comparison of world-known databases from the point of view of the extent and the structure of processing the Czech information sources, comparison of Czech sources with other languages/countries, especially in the field of medicine and pharmacology (Medline, Embase, Derwent Drug File etc.), patents (World Patents Index, Chemical Abstracts), and others (Inspec, Scisearch etc.).
About the author
Ing. Jaroslav Horký graduated Chemical Institute in Pardubice, branch economics and management in 1980. In 1980-1988 he was responsible for utilization of computer databases in the information center of VUSPL Pardubice. In 1988-1991 he worked in the Central Information Center of Chemistry in Prague and was responsible for utilization of foreign database networks. Since beginning of 1992 he has been working in Medistyl Prague, since 1993 responsible person for STN International representation in Czech republic.
