An information analyst has to do a quallified decission, if he is able to elaborate the analysis with disponible sources in time and in required quality. (In all cases he solves the problem of cooperation possibility.) The knowledge and reference base can help him in decission and in processing too. The knowledge structures of this base are created on ontologies, taxonomies and query generalisations. There are lot of the standards in particular areas, but integration of the standards is not trivial. The paper discuses typical problems and demonstrate possible solutions.
Graduated at the Charles University, Prague (library and information science). Worked as a programmer at the Prague Airport and at the Information Centre for Chemistry. Assistant professor at the University of Economics, Prague. Was a member of the National Information Centre council. Was a member in the team localising fulltext technology Verity Inc. Founder of an electronic archive of the Economia publishing. Analyst as a Tovek Partner (fulltext and visualisation technologies).
