Abstract: |
Google has become one of the worldwide most popular services for searching of
information in the Internet. What eventuated in it and what is an incidence of this position among international search
engines? Is Google so important also for Czech speaking zone (compared with Czech search engines)? Does Google
understand us Czech? Users are not satisfied with basic search, they need advanced one. Which commands is it possible to
use for acceleration of work and is it necessary to remember them? Google indexes various types of documents (non HTML)
and users can see the content of them even if they do not have appropriate applications. Google offers word variants
(e.g. in case of misspelling). Google has its strengths and weaknesses. What does it have and what does not? Could be
the use of Google harmful? When do we have to speak about data security (cookies, toolbar, cache etc.)? Google knows
more about us, we would expect. Google offers new tools and services such as Froogle, pages focused on searching in
Internet shops, Google News with more than 4000 continuously updated news sources or the possibility to translate text
or entire web pages. You can pay a fee for an answer to your question when using beta version of Google Answers. It
should be answered within 24 hours.
