Abstrakt
The value of synergy is indisputable, especially in the case of researchers busy schedule. Seamless integration of the most popular tools used by researchers worldwide is good news to everyone. Elsevier managed to connect the biggest citation database – Scopus – with community driven reference manager and collaboration tool – Mendeley. Using one account only users can enjoy easy recovery of scientific works, saving them in desired format, sharing with their peers or students or benchmarking against trends and other publications with only one-click – using SciVal and its widely recognized citation metrics. All that and I have not even started on how usage statistics and alternative metrics are being utilized to present another angle on research impact.
