Abstract
The workshop will focus on how to teach information and digital literacies to library users in order to develop their abilities to search, find, access and evaluate and use information.
A case study on one way of developing the IL skills in an academic library and the creation of online content will be presented as an example. Examples of how other libraries teach IL skills will also be considered.
Participants will be asked:
- to evaluate what is currently on offer within their institutions and who is involved;
- to work in considering how to develop IL teaching across teams both in the library and outside;
- to consider existing content that can be re-used;
- to plan for new content; and
- to consider both how they will promote and embed IL skills at their institutions.
