Abstract
An integral part of the archive is metadata. Most archives are focused on the creation of metadata. A very important area from the perspective of long-term preservation is subsequent processing of metadata.
LTP Mining processes metadata from existing archives and helps to analyze metadata by using ad-hoc queries, or automatic reports. These tools are an important part of the active long term preservation.

Roman Bouchner is concerned with long term preservation issues.
He is responsible for the development of the component LTP SAFE, which is used in the National Digital Library for the storage of digitized intellectual entities.
He is a member of the „Committee of the format“ in NDK.
