Abstract
For more than a year now the Moravian Library in Brno has been working on the development of a Central Portal of Czech Libraries (knihovny.cz). In cooperation with other libraries we strive to build a used-oriented, intuitive gateway to the world of information resources, provided by Czech libraries.
The paper focuses on the design decisions that influenced to the current look and features of the portal and it will also present the reasoning behind them.
