The Comprehensive Technical Information System Provides Professional Information for Users of the Business Environment, Research and Universities

Abstract
In the comprehensive system of professional information for pulp, paper and wood processing industry are accumulated information from the print and electronic information resources, from own professional materials published within the editorial program, from specialized professional databases (own and foreign) and from materials obtained by the exchange of information centres with related topics. A comprehensive information system for the whole range of users is supported by the acquisition of domestic and foreign technical literature. After processing and classification of sources of information according to uniform indexing of documents, follows their selection for further use, such as deposits into their own database, or to editing and output materials regularly distributed to users. For the correct orientation in the given field of science in search of information is continuous creating set of technical terms – thesaurus, which serves as a powerful tool, not only for information workers, but also for all who work with information and particularly as to help to novice workers with a given issues acquainted. The mosaic of complex information systems complement the electronic information resources acquired digitizing their own special materials along with the original electronic processing resources and they are fully used by local network. Adherence to a common language makes it easier to work with information and reduces the time availability of specialized materials. The outcome of the comprehensive system of technical information is a regular distribution of the latest information by themes and interest of the user in the form of signal information, annotations, editorial materials, possibly in the form of surveys, studies in the given issue.

The author, Ing. Alena Zuzánková, after completion of Chemical – Technological University in Bratislava, Slovakia during the whole practice in the Pulp and Paper Research Institute is devoted to specialization in wood processing and production problems in pulp, paper and paperboard. After a decade of experience in research, technological processes of production and processing of papers is shifting its focus to the field of information assurance for that science area. Practical knowledge of applied research makes full use in the provision of technical information for retrieval work in preparing and dealing with research and project tasks.
