Abstract
The Central Registry of Publication Activity (CREPČ) and the Central Registry of Evidence of Art Works and Performance (CREUČ) constitute a unique source of information on publication and art activities of the Slovak universities which is available to both professional and non-professional public. To evidence completely publication and art activities and to collect reactions of the Slovak universities in automated form is the main goal of the registers. Data from registers deal for Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak republic. Both registers represent bibliographic databases with the software solution in the form of DAWINCI library information system developed by SVOP Ltd. and are operated by the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR) who is provider of material and technical support. The Publications Evaluation Department in CVTI SR deals with processing and verification of data, formal control of bibliographical records of publication files, correctness of categorizing publications, communication with universities in order to control and corrections which are needed. The registers are available at www.crepc.sk . Twenty five universities (all public, certain state and private schools) contribute to the CREPČ at present. Its bibliographic database amounts 211 805 records collected in years 2007 – 2010. CREUČ bibliographic database amounts 8 845 records collected in years 2008 – 2010. All universities in Slovakia can be contributors. Other possible applications to evaluation of research and development potential of research workplaces are considered within the framework of implementation of the national project National Infrastructure for Technology Transfer Support in Slovakia – NITT SK.
