Abstract
In the frame of the NISPEZ national project – National Information System promoting Research and Development in Slovakia – Access to Electronic Information Resources, the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (SC STI) has to fulfil several specific goals. In addition to enable access to a large amount of professional and scientific databases, scientia.sk search portal to serve research and development, also the central database of the Slovak EIR for research and development and portal solution to access other, partially processed EIR, is to be created. The portal constitutes the input point to acquire complete bibliographic information about the Slovak EIR, and, where allowed by the terms of the licence agreement, to acquire full texts as well. To hit this target requires active co-operation with scientific content publishers in Slovakia and co-operation with digitizing department at the SC STI premises, which ensures digitization of print document contents, i.e. input metadata processing. The intent is accompanied by connecting the portal to the Central Registry of Theses and Dissertations in Slovakia – CRTD Registry and creation of the Slovak citation index, including author index.
