Abstract
Presentation of the National Museum Library project of the broadside prints Internet library concerning content, metadata format and means of the data processing. Broadside prints are an interesting source for the study of various aspects of culture in the 17th – 19th centuries in the fields of history, ethnology and literature, as well as supplementary materials for education of history and literature. In addition to making broadside prints easily accessible, Digital library allows advanced search from various perspectives, including references to the texts' content (indexes of places and people, thematic categories …). The project of digital library of broadside prints is supported by the research and development grant program of the Ministry of Culture (Open database Of Broadside Ballads, Prayers And Small Prints). Base source for the library is a collection of broadside prints of the National Museum Library in Prague, which is the largest collection of this type in the Czech Republic. 3,783 prints and their convolutes, mainly broadside ballads, were digitized in the course of the project. In the future, the database should be expanded with additional funds from the National Museum and collections of other institutions.
