This paper presents the development and current results of creating the National Repository of Grey Literature (further referred to as NRGL), which arises within the project "The Digital Library for Grey Literature – Functional Model and Pilot Implementation”. This project is solved by the National Technical Library in collaboration with the University of Economics in Prague. The target is to ensure central access to grey literature (i.e. unpublished literature) at the national level. NRGL´s main aim is to serve as a central interface for searching and long-term archiving of grey literature, where the users find the metadata with full text, thereby promoting science, research and education.
At the beginning of the contribution the concept of grey literature will be recalled and explained, there will be an insight into the history of the grey literature in the Czech Republic and a typology of grey literature. There will be mentioned the importance of systematic collection of grey literature and building a partner network of producers of grey literature in the field of science, research and education.
Furthermore, the objectives and current outputs of the project will be introduced, which include a functional pilot application (SW CDS Invenio and user interface ESP Fast), the metadata format Beta version 0.3, legal expertise as well as the project's website www.nusl.techlib.cz and annual seminars. The conclusion will be devoted a search in the user interface www.nusl.cz.
