In today’s world, information has multiplied to amounts that can no longer be handled by users with traditional methods of searching. The information sources have also broadened and have seen a growth of new types of content that is no longer highly structured. Text based searching has increased in his importance. How can users find tools that help them to get orientation in the high number of sources helping them to divide important and unimportant information? How can users get to the identified primary publications? How do they deal with the huge amount of full text information available in opposite to pure bibliographic records of the past? We will speak about new ways of information retrieval, discovery and handling and present tools that are available to help end users in their workflows.
Since August 2006 Jens Gräßler is the Regional Director for Wolters Kluwer Medical Research for Central, Eastern and Northern Europe, which covers the activities of the Ovid and Silverplatter platforms and includes the Lippincott journals. Before he has been responsible for the sales activities in Germany. He joined Ovid in 2002 coming from another industry, where he held different management positions. After school he studied history and peadagogics.
