Functional Computer Literacy of Pedagogic Staff

Abstract:
Creating, enlarging and enhancing information resources on the Internet for pedagodic staff contributes to knowledge base enlargement in the field of education system and it contributes to improvements in education system according to the needs of knowledge economy. The information resources together with e-learning applications help teachers be ready to use all accessible information and innovate the process of teaching by IT support. A project aiming at functional computer literacy support for teachers in the field of IT is discussed in the article.
About author:
Ing. Miroslava Jakubeková graduated in Automated Controll Systems from the MIU S.O. in Moscow, Russia. She worked as a programmer and an assistant in departments of technological development in industries. She also used to teach economics and computer science to students at secondary technical schools in the Czech and Slovak Republik. She is also an author of textbooks for students at secondary schools. In the Centre for In-service teachers´ training in Trencin she works as a project manager and an IT councellor and represents the head of the institution. Ms. Jakubekova participates also in some other projects, she is a member of various project groups.
