The Knowledge Information System (ZIS)
of The Chamber of Tax Advisers of the Czech Republic
Jiøí Nevrkla, Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors
KDPÈR associates tax consultants and creates preconditions for improvement of their qualification. To be able to answer a
question
of his client a tax consultant must analyze a particular problem, look up relevant information from accessible data sources,
assess it
and finally provide his client with an advice how to solve a particular problem. The core of the consulting process
represents a
certain form of non-stop "self-education".
That's how there was born the idea to single out this data base from IS's of tax consultants' offices, transfer it into the
information
system of the Chamber and offer this data or information extracted from it to members of the Chamber to share it.
The building of IS, which tends to be a knowledge system (and in future also partly an expert system), must be based on a
certain
theoretical vision. Transition between information and knowledge is identified as process of learning.
We transfer all our nation-wide lectures into digital form, the MP3 format. A user is able to repeat a given theme in the
form of
listening.
We see an abundant source of data in professional magazines, which we annotate (cca 16.000 annotations) and transfer into
digital
form. We treat 40 various periodicals this way. The discussion group of the Chamber on our server represents more than 820
users. The contributions are archived.
We would like to present this solution of ours to participants of the conference also for the reason that our server is not
open to
public and the whole lecture can be realized in the form of live presentation (after connecting to Internet), right in the
lecture hall.
