1. The Wilson Abstracts deliver information to make article content clear to the searcher.
2. Like the indexers, the Wilson staff of abstractors are mostly librarians, as well as subject specialists.
3. Each abstractor is responsible for reading the article and creating an abstract of 50 to 150 words in length. The abstractor uses the language of the article itself, so that the abstract represents the reading level of the article, the technical level of the article, and the perspective of the article�s author.
4. The abstracts include many facts, figures and names of key persons and companies from the article to assst the searcher in determining if the article is what they want, while also giving them enough information to help them modify or further develop the their topic of research.
