1. The OmniFile Full Text databases are new releases from the H.W. Wilson Company. For 100 years, Wilson has produced a number of renown indexes, abstracts and full text databases covering a variety of subject areas. And the OmniFile family of databases now combines and reconciles coverage of these well known databases into one multi-disciplinary file.
2. The periodicals included within the databases are carefully selected with the direct assistance of the library community to provide access to the core primary source titles within a subject area.
3. The quality of the Wilson databases derives, in part, from the very structure of the organization itself. Each index has its own production unit with separate indexing and abstracting staff. And the staff of each unit are librarians and subject specialists.
4. Wilson uses the Library of Congress Subject Headings as the foundation for its subject authority for the Wilson products. However, the Wilson headings are enriched as required to ensure that all articles are indexed to the most specific points and respond to current day events and topics. Because of the need for headings for current events and new concepts, the Wilson headings are often adopted by the Library of Congress.
